This is sooooo cool! We, at destress yourself, will be providing free monthly teleclasses on managing stress, managing work stress, reducing stress, stress management techniques, stress relief, relaxation, meditation, and any other kind of education about stress you can think of.
We, at destress yourself, will also provide free monthly teleclasses in order to aid individuals on quiting unhealthy habits like smoking, getting angry, and overeating. In addition, we have a free monthly teleclass for Emergency Personnel which includes first responders like EMT's, Paramedics, Peace Officers, Fire Fighters, and Emergency Room Personnel.

Destress for the EMS-Lesson Two
Last post we discussed evaluating our habits of taking care of ourselves. I hope you were able to do that. In my opinion, we do it all the time. We say things like, "I need to loose weight," or "I need to quit smoking," or "I need to control my anger more."
Well, whatever it is we need to do we can make it a goal. When we set goals and obtain them we feel better about ourselves. When we feel better about ourselves, we are less stressed, or rather, we are destressed.
Lesson one was about evaluating habits and setting a goal. This lesson is about desire for our goals. If we are not setting and obtaining goals, we are not moving forward in life and that is what life is all about. In other words, if we are not moving forward we are in the constant state of going nowhere, and that causes stress.
The desire to be and to do what you want is the starting point of any undertaking. Imagine, if you will, already obtaining your goal. Imagine how you will feel. May sound silly but, that is where the desire begins. Once we have desire we must feed it with our imagination of what will come to pass.
When we desire a thing and take time to visualize we will create great faith in ourselves.
Set the goal, write it down, keep it with you always to remind you, and then imagine yourself already obtaining the goal. This, my friend, will feed your desire and then create faith.
